Before we started on this project, there was only a toilet and a vanity. We were able to create a full bathroom in its place.
This bachelor client had a cool sense of style and veered toward unique things. That gave us the opportunity to tile the shower with a black zellige tile. Because each tile had different variations and looked handmade, it gives it a natural and antiqued look. It created a bold and beautiful shower feature.
To tie into the black zellige tile, we chose a black vanity with a marble top. Above that, we decided on some funky industrial brass lights.
For the floor tile, we went with a marble-looking hexagonal tile. The tile, though, is actually made of porcelain, so while it looks like marble, it’s actually less maintenance and gives it a classic look.
To keep the bathroom looking bright, we painted the walls a very light color so the brass elements would really stand out. For bathroom artwork, we found a couple of map artwork prints at an antique store to keep that classic feel.
Because we chose industrial lighting, we also chose a fun iron towel hook - masculine, but still fun and simple.
