A Timeless White Kitchen

We at Kristie Koning Design will never grow tired of a white kitchen. It’s clean, classic, and timeless. Let’s take a look at some of the features of this project.

The client knew from the start that they wanted a white kitchen with clean and simple lines. With three small children running around, it needed to be functional, and not too busy. That said, we went with a vinyl plank floor for durability.

We were able to design with custom cabinetry throughout the kitchen, which tied in beautifully with the built-in appliances. In the bar area, you’ll notice the beverage cooler, but not the hidden ice maker next to the sink.

One of our favorite features in the kitchen is the frosted backlit glass in the cabinets. It gives a little extra light and showcases the beautiful cabinetry.

The detail over the fireplace was added to tie in to the simplicity of the shaker-style cabinets in the kitchen, while creating a repetition that would carry throughout the space, making it cohesive as an open floor concept. We added in some warmth and texture to the fireplace as well with the natural stone.

Another thing you can’t go wrong with in a white kitchen is subway tile. While breaking up the clean lines of the cabinets, it adds more texture into the kitchen and bar area.

You’ll also notice walnut features throughout this space, again, tying all of the elements together. The dining table even extends to seat up to 12 people, which is perfect for family gatherings.

A kitchen wouldn’t be complete without lighting. We chose something classic for the dining and kitchen spaces to finish off that timeless feel.
